How safe is Cambodia?
Cambodia is as safe, or safer than all our neighboring countries. You must use common sense and be aware. Would you walk down strange back alleys late at night in London, Sydney or New York?....No, you wouldn't. Basically show common sense and you will have no problem. The biggest crimes against tourists in Cambodia are bag snatching by teenagers on motorbikes, and pickpockets.

What about landmines?
Landmines although a huge problem in rural Cambodia, are not a problem at all for HTC. We travel the main roads, so you need not worry about landmines at all.

Are there any ATMs in Cambodia?
There are banks throughout the country, and International ATMs in Phnom Penh, Seim Reip and Sihanouk Ville.

Do I need a motorcycle license?
Yes, you need your regular motorcycle license from your home country, or a Cambodian motorcycle license. An international motorcycle is license is also acceptable.

The reason for a license is not the police, but our insurance company who insist on all riders being licensed.

Do I need to wear a helmet?
Yes, Cambodia does actually have a compulsory helmet law. The fact that 75% of people don't wear a helmet is irrelevant. The reason is once again our insurers, who won't pay out in the event of an accident where the rider is not wearing a helmet. You can bring your own helmet, buy a Thai made helmet in Cambodia or borrow one from us. The only time we remove our helmets whilst riding is for an occasional photo opportunity.

What personal/travel insurance do I need?
The insurance coverage you choose is a personal choice. You are already covered for damage to other vehicles, other people, and the Harley you are riding is covered, but you must provide your own personal coverage. Our advice is to read the small print on your policy and make sure you are covered on motorcycles, and covered for a medical evacuation if necessary.

Can we travel into neighboring countries?
Into Laos and Thailand the answer is yes. Into Vietnam the answer is not yet. If you are interested in a tour through Laos and Thailand contact us with your ideas and I'll see what we can do.

Can HTC help us to find hotels, taxis etc?
HTC will help you as much as we can to find hotels, taxis, airport pick up, etc. or maybe a game of golf, just ask us.
